NIRF Ranking 2024 Management, the most awaited rankings for B-schools in India, was released on August 12. While there were few changes in the top end of the rankings, there were plenty of surprises in the rest. So, which are the Top 10 B-schools that have made the biggest improvement in NIRF Ranking 2024? What are the reasons for the improvements? Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) New Delhi
At the top of the charts is Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) New Delhi. IIFT jumped by, hold your breath!, 12 ranks to get ranked at #15 in NIRF Management Ranking 2024. Check table 1 (A) below.

What led to this change, you may ask! As the MBAUniverse.com IIFT New Delhi Ranking Page reveals, the Total Score for IIFT increased from 297.28 to 309.72. Check Chart 1 below. Almost all parameters including Teaching, Learning & Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO) contributed to this increase in total scores. However, a fall in Perception Score is noticeable. Check Table 1 below.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur
Next on the charts is Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur. Like IIFT, IIM Nagpur too jumped by 12 rankings to get ranked at #31 in NIRF Management Ranking 2024. Check table 2 (A) below.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya
Another IIM where there is a significant jump in the rankings is Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodhgaya. The NIRF Ranking for IIM Bodh Gaya jumped by 20 ranks! As a result, IIM Bodh Gaya is ranked at #33 from #53 last year. Check table 3 below.

Led by Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi has seen a good jump in its NIRF Ranking 2024. IIM Ranchi is ranked at #17 in NIRF 2024, up from #24 rank in the previous year’s ranking. Check table 4 below.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur
Led by Prof. Prafulla Y. Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur is one of the youngest IIM in India and is located in a relatively remote location in Himachal Pradesh. IIM Sirmaur has shown the biggest improvement in the NIRF Rankings 2024. It’s ranking jumped by phenomenal 41 ranks! While it was ranked at #98, its ranking has surged to #57 in NIRF Ranking 2024.

NIRF Rankings Methodology
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranks institutions in India using a methodology that's based on a set of pre defined metrics and parameters. The ranking process groups these parameters into five clusters and assigns different weights to each cluster based on the type of institution. The total scores across these parameters determine the rank of each institution.
