International Business Expert Prof Rakesh Mohan appointed as Vice Chancellor of IIFT University
Former Dean and International trade expert Prof Rakesh Mohan Joshi has been appointed as Vice Chancellor (VC) of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). Prof Joshi is a former Dean of the institute and was on deputation to Indian Institute of Plantation Management as Director. He has joined the institution as VC with immediate effect.
International trade and management expert Prof Rakesh Mohan Joshi has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). Prof Joshi is a former Dean of the institute and was on deputation to Indian Institute of Plantation Management as Director. In a statement, IIFT has announced: Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi takes over as vice-chancellor of IIFT.
Prof Joshi has joined the institution as VC with immediate effect. In his message as the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, Prof Joshi said, In view of the rapid globalization of businesses worldwide and emerging economic realities in a fragmented multi-polar world full of opportunities and uncertainties, IIFT is fast becoming an epicentre of learning, research and knowledge dissemination, the industry and governments are looking at. He further added, IIFTs world class faculty and an edge in cutting edge research combined with comprehensive curricula and pedagogical rigor ensure learning and inculcating contemporary skills across our programs.
Prof Rakesh Mohan Joshi, a distinguished academic and expert on international trade
Prof Joshi is a distinguished academician, an eminent author and a renowned management expert on international business, marketing and other areas related to foreign trade. Prof. Joshi has authored several books including International Business and International Marketing published by Oxford University Press.
Prof. Joshi has extensive trans-national exposure and has been associated with several multilateral organizations, such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, UNCTAD, International Dairy Federation, Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) etc. Prof Joshi was also nominated by the President of India as Member, University Court, Delhi University. He had been on the Board of Management, Rajasthan Technical University, IIFT and Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM), besides some other universities.
Prof Joshi was also the Chairman of the UGC Committee for Framing the Regulations for Foreign Educational Institutes Entry and Operations in India, member of the UGC-Ministry of Education Expert Group to Implement New Education Policy 2020, Chairman of the Expert Group for Development of Educational Framework for Global Citizenship in Higher Education Institutions 2021.
