Course Syllabus Revised
UBS has revised syllabus of the different MBA programs offered by it. New subjects like Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Corporate Social Responsibility, Integrating E-Systems and Global Information Systems, have been introduced. Major Project has been added. UBS MBA 2021-23 Fee: Less than Rs.40,000
UBS MBA 2021-23 Fee structure is being finalized by PU authorities. However, the Tuition fee payable for MBA/MBA (IB)/ MBA (HR) for last year was Rs.18,725/- per annum for first year and Rs.19,700/- per annum for second year.
For MBA (Entrepreneurship) the fee was Rs.1,00,000/- per annum for first year and Rs. 1,05,000/- per annum for second year.
Further, the candidates have to deposit Rs.19,000/- by Demand Draft in favour of the Chairman, University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh, towards Summer Placement (Rs. 3500/-), Teaching Materials/Case Unit (Rs. 7000/-), Business Club (Rs. 4000/-) and Computer Charges(Rs. 2000/-) , Alumni Relations (Rs. 2500/-). UBS Chandigarh MBA 2021-23: Eligibility Criteria for Admission
1. Bachelors Degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University, OR
A pass in the final examination conducted by the
(a) Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England OR
(b) Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England OR
(c) Institute of Company Secretaries of India OR
AMIE Examination with 50% marks or more after having passed the diploma examination with 60% marks or above and have at least 5 years research/teaching or professional experience.
2. The candidates appearing in their final degree examinations/qualifying examinations whose result is not declared at the time of counselling are also eligible. However, such candidates shall be admitted provisionally subject to submission of the result of the qualifying examination positively by August 31, 2021 or any such date as notified by the PU authorities
3. All candidates aspiring to apply for MBA Programmes at UBS must take Common Admission Test (CAT) - 2020 conducted by the IIMs.
How to apply UBS MBA Admission? 6 Step Process
Following six steps are required to submit application for MBA admission 2021 at UBS Chandigarh
- Register Online.
- Note down your Login Id and Password.
- Take print out of fee challan (fee challan can also be downloaded from account using login id and password).
- Deposit fee using website generated fee challan at any SBI branch, minimum one day after printing of fee challan.
- Login again after 24 Hrs. of depositing fee and upload scanned photograph, signature, fill other important information. Complete each section ( Profile, Categories, Academic Qualification) carefully and lock each section. (Once you lock the section, you will not be allowed to change information in that section).
- Take print out of the application form and submit/send it along with the required documents to the address mentioned on the print out of the application form.

UBS MBA Admission Criteria & Selection Process 2021
Admission to MBA will be made on the basis of merit determined by scores of the candidates in Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 conducted by IIMs, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI)
- All candidates aspiring to apply for MBA Programmes at UBS must take Common Admission Test (CAT) – 2020 conducted by the IIMs
- The candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview on the basis of their score in the CAT 2020 subject to the condition that they secure a minimum 10% score (5% in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD) candidates) in each section of CAT 2020 viz., Quantitative; Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation, and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, and/or any other component which may be added later at any stage to the CAT 2020
- Whether in the General Category or in any of the reserved categories, no candidate who has secured less than the above said minimum score in CAT shall be eligible to be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview
- The Group Discussion and Personal Interview of the short-listed candidates will be held at University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh
- The invitation for attending GD/PI & schedule of GD/PI would be put on UBS admission website http://ubsadmissions.puchd.ac.in only
- Alert about the schedule of GD/PI would be sent to the registered email address of the candidates and No other communication shall be made in this context
- The number of candidates to be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be equal to eight times the total number of seats of all these courses in each category or the total number of eligible candidate, whichever is lower
- Attendance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview is must. If any candidate does not attend any one of the components, GD or PI, his/her candidature shall stand cancelled
- Final Merit List of all the candidates called and appeared for GD & PI will be prepared category-wise on the basis of their combined aggregate score in the CAT 2020 Group Discussion and Personal Interview
- The final combined category-wise result of the candidates is expected to be notified in March/April 2021
- Admission to MBA, MBA (EP), MBA (IB), MBA (HR) will be offered strictly according to the combined Merit List as also the option given by the candidates for different courses will be considered

In Case of a Tie…
In case of a tie, following rules would apply:
- A candidate getting higher percentage in the qualifying examination shall rank higher in order of merit
- If the marks in the qualifying examination are the same, the candidate obtaining more marks in the immediate lower examination shall rank higher in order of merit
- If two or more candidates secure equal marks in (i) & (ii) above, the candidate senior in age shall rank higher in order of merit
- When the provisional lists of candidates (based on merit) are displayed on the Notice Board, the Chairperson shall mention the fact that this list is subject to change on account of improvement of result of the qualifying examination wherever applicable. The new result must be presented at the time of interview/operationalisation of the waiting list
- Admission shall be made strictly on the basis of merit
UBS MBA Admission 2021: Criteria for NRI Candidates
- NRI candidates not in India at the time of the CAT 2020 and thereby unable to avail of the above admission process (subject to the condition that he/she has filled the online application form) shall be required to submit valid score of GMAT which will be treated at par with the combined score of Written Test (CAT) 2020 conducted by IIMs and GD & PI conducted by University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
- Applicants need to submit the result of the qualifying examination by August 31, 2021 or any such date as notified by the authorities
