XAT 2024 registrations have seen sharp increase of 40 percent over last year. Sharing with MBAUniverse.com, Dr Rahul Shukla, XAT convener has confirmed that total XAT registrations have gone up at 135,000 this year from 98242 last year. with more than 36 percent female candidates applying for the exam. Immediately after CAT exam registered an increase of 30% this year, the registrations for the second largest MBA entrance exam, XAT have also broken previous record
XAT 2024 Registrations Numbers

XAT, one of the largest national MBA entrance tests held by XLRI, has seen sharp increase of 40% in its 2024 registration numbers. XAT 2024 exam registration number has gone up to 135,000 applicants this year from 98242 in last year. Sharing the positive development with MBAUniverse.com, Dr Rahul Shukla, Convener of XAT 2024 and XLRI Jamshedpur Admission Chair, said, “XAT has always been a proponent of diversity, and our test’s design reflects that. We've emphasized this message to our candidates, which may be one of the driving factors behind this historic surge in registrations.”

Following a 30% increase in CAT 2023 registration number, this strong growth in XAT 2024 numbers is a good news for management education that has seen negligible growth in CAT and XAT registrations for last many years.

XAT 2024 registration process closed on December 10 after getting an extension from November 30. XLRI is conducting XAT 2024 on Sunday, January 7, 2024 as a computer based test in a single session of 3 Hours 30 Minutes duration across the country.

According to XAT convener there are number of factors which have contributed to this sharp increase in registration number including an organized campaign that aimed to reach out to participants effectively, with the support of associate business schools. Sharing with MBAUniverse.com, Dr Shukla said, “We are committed to taking XAT to new heights. While we have never compromised on the standard of the test, this year we made a concerted effort to dispel misconceptions. We wanted to convey that XAT is a smart test for smart aspirants.”

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is the second largest MBA entrance exam and is the mandatory entrance exam for admission to XLRI Jamshedpur and Delhi NCR campus. Apart from XLRI, XAT scores are accepted by 160+ MBA colleges including XIMB, IMI, IMT, TAPMI, Great Lakes, GIM Goa among others.
