XLRI Jamshedpur has commenced new academic session 2024-25 with incoming batch of 551 students, marking a shift towards diversity. The new batch comprises 45% Students from Non Engineering background in the XLRI PGDM-BM and LSCM programs while PGDM-HRM has admitted 50% Non Engineers and 59% Females.
XLRI Commences New Academic Session 2024 with 551 students

XLRI-Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, one of the premium B-schools of India, has inaugurated its new batch of students of the new academic session of 2024-25 on June 10, 2024 in offline mode for its PGDM-BM; PGDM-LSCM; PGDM-GM, PGDM-HRM along with FPM and Exec-FPM programmes. Out of the total 551 students, the new batch comprises of 55% Students from Engineering background in the XLRI PGDM-BM and PGDM-LSCM programs while 50% students from Engineering background have been admitted to PGDM-HRM program. The inauguration ceremony was conducted in the Tata Auditorium, XLRI Jamshedpur campus and was attended by all the new students, their parents, XLRI faculties & staff members.

Fr. S George S.J, Director, XLRI, Fr. Donald D’Silva S.J, Dean Administration & Finance, XLRI and Prof. Sanjay Patro, Dean Academics, XLRI, along with other dignitaries on the dais inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. In order to earnestly seek the divine blessings of God Almighty verses from the holy books were recited by XL staff members which motivated our students to lead an honest & pure life.

Welcoming the new batch of students to XLRI Jamshedpur, Fr. S George S.J., Director, XLRI said, “I welcome you all to the XLRI family. Each one of you is here purely on your own merit, nothing else. You've reached the peak but there are other hills you'll have to climb. Make sure you make the most of the opportunities at XLRI. When you succeed, XLRI succeeds. And when you fail, we fail. Your every action, brings glory to XLRI.”

2 years Full Time PGDM-HRM Programme
180 students have been offered admission in the XLRI PGDM-HRM 2024-26 batch as per following details:

  • Total Students in PGDM-Human Resource Management 2024-26 Batch: 180
  • Students from Engineering Background: 50%
  • Female Students: 59%
  • Male Students: 41%

18 Months Full Time PGDM-GM Programme
XLRI Jamshedpur has admitted 120 students to its PGDM-General Management programme 2024-26 as per following details:

Prof. Sanjay Patro (Dean Academics, XLRI) delivered the welcome address. Fr. Donald D’Silva SJ (Dean A&F, XLRI) recited the prayer after which all the students of the new academic year 2024-26 were introduced to the 80+ Professors of the Jamshedpur XLRI campus. The academic inaugural event was then followed by an ice-breaking event where all the students had participated and several games/activities were conducted. This two-hour event was a complete refreshment and made all the students interact comfortably with each other. The new students were then taken through a Special Orientation Programme drawn up by XLRI to update their knowledge before regular classes commenced.

On achieving 75 Years of Excellence, this year XLRI Jamshedpur is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee from October 11, 2023 to October 10, 2024.
