IBA Bangalore Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is 2 years full time residential programme. PGDM at IBA is AICTE approved, NBA Accredited and has MBA equivalence from AIU. IBA PGDM programme curriculum equips students to thrive on efficiency in today’s competitive business environment. The from Indus Business Academy (IBA) equips you with the skills and knowledge to become a sought-after management professional in the areas of Business Analytics, Marketing, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Retail Management, Human Resources and others.
The programme begins with a curriculum refreshing students’ fundamental concepts. In the second and third trimesters, the students will be oriented to areas of specializations such as HR, IT, Finance, Introductions to Strategic Management, Research Methodology, Corporate Governance, Business Ethics, Organisational Behaviour, Operational management, Marketing, Business law.
Two months corporate internship immediately after the completion of the third trimester i.e. the first year, enables students to get real-life experience in blue chip companies on projects that can challenge even an accomplished practicing manager. The actual learning occurs through the fruitful exchange of ideas and exposure to diverse perceptions, particularly during case analysis and presentations. These nourish the basic concepts that reinforce the process of creating successful managers.
At IBA, students are treated as colleagues who work in teams as ‘Task Forces’. This gives them a first-hand experience to organise guest lectures, seminars, even identify and screen faculty, coordinate directly with visiting faculty, etc. The last three trimesters are devoted to building entrepreneurial abilities in the students because a successful manager is perceived as a wealth creator for the organisation. The chosen specialisation subjects are learnt exhaustively in these three trimesters.
The last lap at IBA is devoted to placement exercise. Preparing the students for this begins much earlier through a process of communication, mock interview sessions, GDs, etc. Living through this programme is intense and gruelling. But for those who are serious & deeply committed, the returns in terms of knowledge, confidence, and career prospects are highly rewarding.
IBA Bangalore academic eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline, with at least 50% marks or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC & other reserved category Candidates the minimum required percentage of marks is 45% in graduation.

IBA Bangalore admission process for PGDM and PGDM General Programmes includes the eligibility criteria, Application process, Appearing in acceptable MBA entrance exams, getting shortlisted and participating in PI round and finally accepting the admission offer. The step by step IBA admission process is as below:
IBA Bangalore Shortlist Criteria: IBA Bangalore will shortlist the candidates on the basis of following parameters:
IBA Bangalore Final Selection Criteria: The objective of IBA MBA Admission 2025 process is to assess communication skills, presentation skills, knowledge on current affairs, entrepreneurial abilities, understanding of markets, attitude, and aptness to take up the rigour of the programme. Post short-listing on the basis of available scores, applicants will be called for the final selection round (GD-PI Round). The candidates have to submit Statement of Purpose (SoP) during final selection round. All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to go through the GD/PI round.
Final Merit List & Admission Offer: Final selection is based on entrance exam score, Statement of Purpose (SoP), Academic Performance, Work Experience, performance in Group Discussion (GD) or Personal Interview (PI)1 and PI 2. Final results will be declared within 3 to 4 working days from the day of PI 2. Selected students are required to pay the prescribed fee within the specified date as mentioned in admission letter after the selection results failing which the seat will be offered to next deserving candidate. New Academic Session will commence in June 2025
Application for MBA Admission 2025 at IBA Bangalore should be filled up and submitted online at the institute’s website. Once the application is received by the Admission Department of IBA Bangalore, you will receive a confirmation call and an email from the admissions department regarding the initial round of selection process i.e. submission of the SOP (Statement of Purpose). The IBA Application process is shared below:
Step-1: Fill the Online Application form by login with IBA user ID and password. You will receive it after registering for admission on IBA website.
Step-2: Fill Up all personal details & click on Save & Continue
Step-3: Fill up academic details from class 10 onwards
Step-4: Fill in details about your work experience, if any
Step-5: Enter details about family background. Enter all the information regarding parent's / guardian’s address, email ID, telephone number, and mobile number
Step-6: Enter program name you are applying for, GD-PI Centre
Step-7: Make payment of application fee online. Application Fee can be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Internet Banking / Demand Draft.
Step-8: After payment of the application fee and submission of the application form, you will receive a PDF copy of filled application form on your registered primary email id
