MBA at SSN School of Management Chennai is a 2 year full time residential programe. The program leads to a dual specialization in the second year. A variety of electives are included to enable students attain both “width” and “depth” in their specializations. SSN offers four specializations in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Operations and Human Resources. The students are expected to specialize in two areas.
SSN believes in the overall development of students who are well-equipped with a sound foundation of conceptual knowledge and essential skills for a successful career. SSN School of Management Chennai MBA course curriculum consists of two years spread over four semesters. The first year provides for learning the foundation areas and professional core courses. The second year provides an opportunity for students to do a deep-dive in functional areas of interest by way of specialization and electives. SSN offers four specializations which are ever-green – marketing, finance, operations and human resources. The students are expected to specialize in two areas.
On a selective basis, some courses provide for interaction with practicing managers in the industry. This enables students to connect the dots with the concepts learned in the respective courses. The curriculum also includes Managerial Communications and Seminars which provide an opportunity for students to develop and strengthen the essential skills that play a major role in shaping careers advancements. All this is supplemented by guest lectures by eminent people from the industry which provides an opportunity to students to interact with thought leaders.
Some certificate courses are also offered outside the curriculum to enable students pick up contemporary skills. MBA programme at SSN provides two industry internships. Students do an 8 week internship after the first year in a company. This provides an opportunity to the student to get a real experience of the corporate world, experience the application of concepts and take up the study of a problem.
The final semester has a three month project-internship which will require the student to carry out an in-depth study with a research orientation. Apart from these, many of the courses have a project component. The students are “industry ready” when they complete the program.

Candidates can apply for Government Quota through TANCET exam and for Management quota through wide range of entrance exams. The admission for Management Quota is merit based. The application form can be submitted online. There is no difference in program fee for government and Management quota.
SSN School of Management MBA selection process is based on the scores in the entrance test as well as past academic record. Shortlisted Applicants will be called for Group Discussion. GD will be followed by Personal Interviews.Performance at the Group Discussion and Personal Interview organized by the Institution is an important criterion. Work experience will be given weightage in final selection process. Selected students will be notified by email and admission letter. A two week window for payment of fee will be granted.
