IIM Bodh Gaya offers MBA Hospital & Healthcare Management programme. It is a two-year full-time program spread across six terms. The programme provides holistic appreciation of Healthcare and allied industry and covers Hospitals, Pharmaceuticals, Health Insurance, Medical device & equipment, health care consulting, digital health. Students have the option to choose from the two tracks of specialization – Health Care Management or Hospital Management. Curriculum Highlights

The MBA Healthcare and Hospital Management programme at IIM Bodh Gaya consists of a total of minimum 108 credits. In the first year, students will undergo the core courses. In the second year, students can choose elective courses from two tracks of specialization i.e. “Hospital Management” and “Healthcare Management.”  

The “Hospital Management” track covers courses related to management/ administration of various functions in hospitals and allied areas. The “Healthcare Management” track covers courses related to public health, health insurance and pharmaceuticals. 

In addition, students will choose general electives courses from different management domains such as HR, Marketing, IT, Finance, Operations & General Management. At the end of first year, students will undergo an industry immersion for an extended duration of 4 months. Students will be involved in the community project in the 5th term during which they will conduct a field study to understand various public health issues and effectiveness of public health schemes run by the government.

Eligibility Criteria

  • IIM Bodh Gaya 2 years full time MBA Hospital & Healthcare Management Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. 
  • The candidate should appear in CAT exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to be considered for shortlisting.

Application Process

Application Status: Closed

Application process for MBA Healthcare and Hospital Management admission at IIM Bodh Gaya opens with the start of CAT  registration process. Candidates have to apply for CAT by the last date. There is no need to apply and pay separately for IIM Bodh Gaya Admission at this stage.

Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for MBA Healthcare and Hospital Management program at IIM Bodh Gaya is through CAT Exam and IIM CAP PI round. The selection of the candidates for admission to the MBA at IIM Bodh Gaya is a three-step process- Pre shortlisting, Shortlisting, and participation in IIM CAP PI round or IIM Bodh Gaya SAP round

In the first step, candidates are screened as per the IIM Bodh Gaya admission policy on performance in CAT exam and in the second step they are considered on various parameters for shortlisting for Common Admission Process (CAP) comprising Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. After the PI round, IIM Bodh Gaya prepares merit list for final admission as per its final selection weightages. Detailed Admission process is as below:

  • The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for CAP round which is the common PI round for 10 CAP participating IIMs. Candidates Not qualifying for CAP round are given the opportunity to register for SAP (Supplementary Admission Process) which is also PI round for IIM Bodh Gaya and get shortlisted at reduced CAT score.  
  • Candidates are shortlisted from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and have their interest and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme   
  • In addition to the Common Admission Process, IIM Bodh Gaya will conduct an additional Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) for candidates who meet IIM Bodh Gaya PI shortlisting criteria but do not meet the CAP cut off criteria. Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) is conducted by IIM Bodh Gaya and two other CAP participating third generation IIMs for the candidates who have not been shortlisted and have not been able to participate in Common Admission Process (CAP). The shortlisting criteria for SAP have a lower CAT cut off (91%ile in 2024) than applied for CAP round (94%ile in 2024).
  • After the PI round, IIM Bodh Gaya will award weightages to various parameters and admission offers are made by IIM Bodh Gaya to successful candidates. 
  • The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in CAP round, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others

Admission offer letter would be sent to all successful candidates. Candidates, who are offered admission, need to confirm their acceptance by completing all the required formalities by the stipulated date

How to Apply

Register and apply for CAT exam by paying the requisite application fee for the exam. On the page 4 of CAT application form, you need to select IIM Bodh Gaya MBA Healthcare and Hospital Management and other programs and select the interview city. Your application for IIM Bodh Gaya admission is submitted. At this stage, you do not need to apply and pay separately for IIM Bodh Gaya Admission. After declaration of CAT exam result, you can check at IIM Bodh Gaya as well as IIM CAP website whether you are shortlisted by entering your CAT registration ID and password. You may need to register at IIM Bodh Gaya website to reconfirm your interest for IIM Bodh Gaya admission.
