Following category of Executives are eligible for the Programme:

• Officer/ Executive level employees of All India Services/ Central Government (Ministry of Defence, and all other Ministries and Departments)/ State Governments /Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous Bodies;
• Individuals with rich Managerial experience from reputed Private Organizations. Such Organizations shall be listed in the premier Stock Exchanges and shall have an annual turnover of at least 200 crore rupees.
• There would be no residential requirements for such candidates. However, the candidate has to spend at least one week per semester at IIM MUMBAI, interacting with his supervisor(s). During this period, Scholars may avail hostel facilities if available on an actual payment basis.
• Candidates should preferably have demonstrated research potential through research papers in reputed International Conferences/ Journals/ Patents/ Technology transfer

Academic Qualification & Work Experience Requirement

• A 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks in aggregate after a 4 year/8-semester bachelor's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks or a 2-year/4-semester master's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks after a 3-year bachelor's degree programme (Full Time) with at least 65% marks.
• Candidates applying based on master’s degree programme should have at least 2 years of professional experience after master’s degree.
• A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s degree programme (Full Time) should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade Candidates applying based on Bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience after Bachelor’s degree. 
• A Candidate with professional qualifications CA, ICWA, CS (with at least 60% aggregate marks) along with a B.Com/ Degree (with at least 60% aggregate marks). Candidates applying based on the mentioned degree should have at least 2 yrs. of professional experience after completion of their professional degree.

Age Limit: 

• The upper age limit is 45 years. 
• For exceptionally brilliant Executive Ph.D. candidates the age limit can be relaxed to 55 years.

• Along with submission of application, the candidate should submit a research proposal approved by the prospective Faculty Guide(s) 
• The admission committee would go through the proposal and finalise the admission process
• A PhD Scholar in this category is a professionally employed person, who pursues the doctoral Programme while continuing the duties of his/her service. The Institute does not provide any assistantship/fellowship to such a Scholar. 
• The research work leading to doctoral degree may be carried out largely in the parent organization under the overall guidance provided by a faculty member of the Institute.

• Eligible candidate should apply online at IIM Mumbai admission portal.
• A research proposal approved by the prospective Faculty Guide(s) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of the application.

• Along with submission of application, the candidate should submit a research proposal approved by the prospective Faculty Guide(s) 
• The admission committee would go through the proposal and finalise the admission process
• A PhD Scholar in this category is a professionally employed person, who pursues the doctoral Programme while continuing the duties of his/her service. The Institute does not provide any assistantship/fellowship to such a Scholar.
