JBIMS admission eligibility criteria is based on the DTE CAP eligibility criteria which contain following points:

• Candidates with bachelor’s degree from recognized university/institute with 50% marks are eligible to apply
• Candidates should have secured 60% marks in Class 10 and 12
• Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply
• Candidates who have appeared in graduation final exams and are waiting for result can also apply
• All the candidates have to register and apply for DTE CAP as per the schedule announced by CET Cell in Maharashtra
• JBIMS admission eligibility criteria specify that Maharashtra State category candidates should have appeared in MAH CET exam and all India category candidates should have appeared in one of the following MBA entrance exams – CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAH CET   

JBIMS MMS admission process is through DTE CAP round. MAHCET, CMAT, CAT are the qualifying examinations for JBIMS admission. For the MMS programme JBIMS accepts different exams for Maharashtra State (MS) category and All India (AI) category candidates as per the DTE guidelines. For Maharashtra State candidates, JBIMS accepts only MAH CET score and for All India category, JBIMS accepts scores of MAHCET, CAT and CMAT exams. Based on their admission exam results, candidates are then invited to take a personal assessment examination. Separate merit lists will be produced for JBIMS Mumbai admission under the MAH and All India categories. 

• JBIMS Shortlist criteria is on the basis of Percentile of Normalized score of entrance exams, 
• Apart from score in the written exam, evaluation criteria will take into account complete personality of the candidate, which includes various parameters like extra-curriculars, other significant achievements. 
• JBIMS Mumbai past academic record is an important point of consideration in CAP round. Candidates with excellent academic record are preferred for JBIMS admission 
• Work experience is also a component of the admission criteria and will be given due weightage. However, if a fresher has other substantial credentials, he/she can cover up in other parameters. Work-ex alone would not be the deciding criteria.
• JBIMS Mumbai selection criteria is decided by in the DTE CAP round. The JBIMS seat allocation will be done by DTE on merit in CAP rounds. 

JBIMS MMS Application process is different from other B-schools’ admission process. Key points about how to apply for JBIMS Admission are:

• No separate application needs to be submitted for JBIMS admission  
• You need to register and apply for DTE CAP with scores of the entrance exams that you have taken
• If you have appeared in current year of MAHCET, CAT or CMAT, you can seek admission in JBIMS.
• DTE Maharashtra conducts Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for admission to all the participating MBA colleges including JBIMS Mumbai and makes seat allotment in the MBA colleges as per the merit score obtained by the candidates
• JBIMS Admission Application fee through DTE CAP is Rs.800/- for MAH Category and Rs.1000/- for All India category candidates 

Candidates with excellent academic record are preferred for JBIMS admission and the work experience is also a component of the final selection criteria and will be given due weightage.
