Curriculum Highlights

IMI Delhi's two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Banking & Financial Services) is designed to cater to the growing needs of management professionals for Banking and Financial Services industry. The PGDM(B&FS) programs at IMI Delhi is of two years duration. IMI follows a trimester system and each program consists of six trimesters. Each trimester is of 11-12 weeks duration. Apart from the six trimesters students are required to undergo a compulsory Summer Internship Program (SIP) at the end of the first year.

The curriculum for the PGDM (Banking & Financial Services) program is spread over six trimesters and the programme structure comprises both compulsory as well as elective courses. Compulsory courses include basics in various functional areas including Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Operations and also courses covering Banking & Financial Services. Electives focused purely on Banking & Financial Services are offered in the second year. Besides, it also includes courses like Economics, Statistics and Information Technology. The elective courses provide more focused specialization within the Banking & Financial Services domain. 

Summer Internship Program is mandatory after the completion of first year. On completion of the first year, all students are required to undergo a Summer Internship Program of 8 to 10 weeks duration.

The Pedagogy is a combination of lectures, case discussions, presentations, assignments and project work. The primary emphasis is on interactive and participative methods of learning.  Faculty members for all the programs are primarily in-house from the Institute but may also include adjunct or visiting faculty members.

Eligibility Criteria

IMI Delhi PGDM B&FS Admission eligibility criteria require:

  • Applicant must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities), with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
  • A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
  • Apart from a recognized graduate degree, another key point in IMI Delhi eligibility criteria is that the candidate should appear in CAT/XAT or GMAT (Taken during last three years) and must score the required cut off
  • Candidates with Foreign Nationality are also eligible, based on their GMAT scores, provided the score is not more than three years old.

Step-2 Choose the IMI Campus
On this page you should choose the preferred IMI campuses you wish to apply for admission 2025. If you wish to apply for IMI Delhi, click on it and if you wish to apply for IMI Kolkata and Bhubaneswar campuses also you need to select them also. The application fees will go up

Step-3: Fill Personal Details
The next step is to fill the source of information – how did you come to know about IMI, your personal details, your father details 

Step-4: Fill Contact Details
On this page you need to fill your email id, mobile number permanent and correspondence address. Your e-mail id and mobile number should remain valid through the admission process

Step-5: Fill Academic Qualifications
On this page you need to fill your educational qualifications from class 10 onwards and entrance exam details like CAT and XAT. 

Step-6: Fill Work Experience
On this page you should fill in your full time work experience earned after graduation. 

Step-7: Make Declaration
You need to fill Applicant name and date and click on the declaration. Without this the form will not be submitted

Step-8: Make Payment
You need to make payment of IMI Application fees online of Rs. 2000+GST, if you are applying only for IMI Delhi. This is the last step after which your IMI Admission application 2024 will be submitted

IMI Delhi PGDM B&FS Final Selection is based on the Personal Assessment round, which may have components like Essay Writing and Personal Interview. MI Delhi Final Admission offer will be based on entrance exam scores, past academic performance in graduation, class XII & X, Personal Assessment, quality of work experience, diversity across multiple dimensions, and extra-curricular activities.
