The Post Graduate Programme in Management programme at the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM-R) offers a judicious blend of theory and practice and is delicately designed to be change oriented. The course curriculum is continually reviewed and updated to cater to the requirements of the industry and reflect changes in the environment. Being aware of the shifting boundaries and the winds of change in a globalizing business environment, program also lays considerable emphasis on exposure to many aspects of international business and related strategic and cross-cultural issues.

It aims at generating among the students the capability of 'learning to learn' in recognition of the importance of continued learning for a successful managerial career. A high degree of training with the use of emerging managerial tools and technologies is imparted to the students. The emphasis is on internalization of knowledge rather than mere acquisition.

Teaching methods include lectures, case analysis & discussions, exercises, seminars, role plays, management games, assignments, term papers, project work, audio¬ visual aids, and computer-based learning methods. Besides, Student interest groups in various functional areas meet regularly, and an active industry interaction cell ensures additional inputs from industry. Advanced management seminars organized by the Institute ensure that the IIM-R academic community is able to keep pace with the latest developments in theory and practice of management.

The students should also take one simulation-based compulsory course during Term IV, V and VI respectively, namely, Global Business Simulation (GBS); Markstrat Simulation (MSS); Capstone Simulation (CS)
