IIM Sambalpur has completed final Placement 2024 achieving 100% placement yet again for the large 8^th MBA batch 2022-24 of 192 students. This season has recorded a dip of 14% in average salary which has gone down at Rs.14.21 LPA from Rs.16.64 LPA last year. IIM Sambalpur has highly gender diverse class 2024 with 35% Female. Outperforming the male students, the Girls have got the highest package of Rs 23.50 LPA in  placement 2024. In a scenario when most B-schools are facing adverse impact of Economic Slowdown in their placements, IIM Sambalpur too has been affected by this phenomenon with a dip in its Average, and Highest salary for the 2022-24 batch. An interesting observation from the data is that while IIM Jammu and IIM Visakhapatnam have seen 6% dip in average salary, IIM Sambalpur has seen 14% dip in average salary while IIM Bodh Gaya has seen 13% dip in average salary.

However, proving its mettle and braving the economic slowdown situation, IIM Sambalpur has successfully concluded the final placements for the batch of 2022-24, keeping intact its legacy of 100% placement record over the years. Besides, this year’s placement season witnessed a 23.48% increase in the number of recruiters visiting IIM Sambalpur campuse. Female students having prior work experience have secured an average salary of 15.14 LPA, while male candidates have an average of 14.12 LPA. Female students were found to be the highest paid in the sectors of Consulting, IT/Analytics, Marketing, and General Management, with an average CTC of 16.33 LPA in the latter. This year, IIM Sambalpur has witnessed a 33% increase in the number of PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers). This year’s placement season attracted over 163 recruiters, with a 49% increase in first-time recruiters looking for the best talent on campus.

Placement 2024 at IIM Sambalpur attracted recruiters from a variety of industries, including IT, Consulting, BFSI, FMCG, Ed-Tech, E-Commerce, Analytics, and Logistics.

• The highest salary has gone down at Rs.23.50 LPA from Rs.64.61 LPA last year
• Female students with prior work ex have excelled with an average salary of Rs 15.14 LPA.
• The largest batch size of the outgoing cohort participated in the placement, with Marketing emerging as the most popular sector, attracting over 31% of the batch, followed by General Management with 26%.
