TAPMI Last Date to Apply: January 18, 2019
TAPMI has announced the last date to apply as January 18, 2019 for PGDM Admission 2019. The Application should be submitted online. TAPMI will accept CAT 2018 score and XAT 2019 score in admission. If you have appeared in either of the two exam or both of the exams you can apply for admission 2019 till Jan 18. The application fee is Rs. 2100/- and should be paid online.

TAPMI Admission Cut Offs: For Candidates with Less Than 24 Months of Work Ex
Following overall minimum percentile in the CAT/XAT/GMAT entrance exam should be scored by the applicants to get shortlisted for final admission process by TAPMI Manipal. The exam wise admission 2019 score cut offs are based on aggregate percentile score although candidates should also score well across the sections of the entrance exam.These cut offs are applicable for the applicants with less than 24 months of Work experience.

TAPMI Profile Based Shortlisting: Applicable for 24 Months & Above Work Ex
For candidates with work experience of two years or more TAPMI follows profile-based shortlisting. Following parameters are used for Profile Based shortlisting:

  • Valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores (whichever is higher)
  • Academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation, backlogs during graduation etc.)
  • Quality and Duration of work experience (type of company, total experience, etc.)
  • Extra-curricular achievements if any.

Students will be informed on the shortlist decision through email / sms to their registered email id and phone number.

4 PGDM Programmes at TAPMI
TAPMI offers 4 full time PGDM programmes. They are Post Graduate Diploma in Management; Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Banking and Financial Services; Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Human Resources Management and Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Marketing and Sales Management.

While the 3 PGDM Programs at TAPMI are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the recently launched PGDM in Maketing and Sales Management is subject to AICTE approval. 

How to Apply for Admission
Application for Admission to PGDM 2019-21 batch at TAPMI should be submitted online. Last date to apply for admission is January 18, 2019. For all the 4 PGDM programmes, there is one common application form. The application fee at TAPMI is as below:

Application Process: Key Points

  • This application fee is to be paid online and is non-refundable
  • To apply for admission in TAPMI you should click on Admissions and enter your details in the window that opens with the click. It will lead you to application form.
  • TAPMI does not accept application in hardcopy mode. All applications must be submitted online.
  • Candidates have an option of making payment for application through online/credit card/debit card or using online banking payment facility.
  • The procedure may be changed depending on the developments that may arise.

TAPMI Admission Process
TAPMI Admission Process 2019 is a two step process involving the Shortlisting criteria based on profile and entrance exam score and the Final admission selection Criteria based on other key components apart from entrance exam score:

Shortlisting Process at TAPMI
The first part of TAPMI Admission Process is the shortlisting of candidates before final selection round. TAPMI will shortlist the candidates on the basis of following parameters:

  • TAPMI follows Profile-based shortlisting.
  • Profile considered for shortlisting consists of valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores (whichever is higher), academic profile (10th, 12th, Graduation, backlogs during graduation etc.), work experience (type of company, total experience, etc.), extra-curricular achievements if any.
  • The Statement of Purpose plays an important role in shortlisting.
  • Shortlist for each program is separate and independent of each other.
  • Shortlist in one program does not guarantee shortlist for the other program.
  • For candidates with work experience of two years or more TAPMI follows profile-based shortlisting.
  • Students will be informed on the shortlist decision through email/sms to their registered email id and phone number.
  • TAPMI will consider aggregate scores and not sectional scores of the applicants in the acceptable entrance exams for shortlisting.
  • Applicants may submit more than one entrance test score. TAPMI will consider the best test score for shortlisting.

Final Selection Round

  • Post short-listing, applicants will be called for the final selection round (PI Round)
  • All the shortlisted candidates are to go through the final selection round by TAPMI to be held in February-March 2019
  • Final selection is based on CAT/XAT percentile/ GMAT Score, Academic Performance, Work Experience, Statement of Purpose, Written Ability Test, GD and performance in Personal Interview (PI)
  • The GD-PI-WAT will be held at Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Manipal.
  • Final selection of the candidate is based CAT/XAT/GMAT (Overall Percentile); Verbal Ability Percentile; academic profile; work experience; WAT Score; GD Score and PI Score.  

Key Components of Final Selection at TAPMI

WAT Process at TAPMI (WAT)
TAPMI conducts Written Ability Test (WAT) to evaluate written capabilities of prospective students. WAT aims to evaluate Articulation and Technical (Grammar and Spellings) of the applicant.

GD Round at TAPMI
Group Discussions (GD) at TAPMI aims to evaluate ability of the applicant to interact within a group. GD aims at evaluating applicant’s skills in the area of Leadership, Problem Solving, Solution Orientation, Persuasion and Communication. Topics for GD will be based on current affairs/ issues debated in last five years.

PI Round at TAPMI
TAPMI will be conducting Behavioural Personal Interview to understand the applicant’s attitude towards management education. TAPMI will evaluate applicant’s ability in terms of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Leadership and Communication.
