XUB offers six key MBA programmes through its different B-schools namely MBA-BM and MBA Global through its flagship management college Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB); MBA-HRM at XAHR; MBA-RM at XSRM; MBA-SM at XSoS and MBA-UMG at its XUMG.

Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB) is a 32-year old autonomous B-School of the Xavier University and is the flagship school of the University. In due course, XUB has set up other Schools and Centres of higher learning in areas, such as Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Sustainability, Urban Management & Governance, Commerce, Communications, Economics, Law, Computer Science & Engineering, and Humanities & Compassion Studies.

Average salary in Placement 2019 has gone up to Rs.14. 31 lakhs from Rs. 12.91 lakhs last year. XIMB MBA Admission Eligibility

To meet the XIM-XUB eligibility criteria, an applicant must possess a strong and consistent academic background. Performance in 10th grade, 12th grade and every year of graduation are considered in the XIMB selection process

The candidate must hold a bachelors degree, with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA

The bachelors degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent
If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelors degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by Xavier University by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the eligibility of the candidate

A candidate appearing for the final year bachelors degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. Only the cCandidates who expect to complete the final part of their degree examinations by June 15, 2020, can also apply.

Offers of admission to such candidates, if made, will be provisional and will be automatically cancelled in the event of their failing to complete all the requirements for obtaining the degree before June 15, 2020.
The Applicant should have appeared in CAT 2019/XAT 2020 or GMAT (Taken between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019) exam and must have scored minimum prescribed score in the entrance exam to become eligible for admission

Work experience is not mandatory for this program. Fresh graduates with No work experience can apply.

Relevant work experience after graduation will only be considered.

How to Apply for Admission?
Following steps were included in the Xavier University, Bhubaneswar Application process:

Step 1: Register and Apply for Entrance Exam

Carefully register and apply for at least one of the MBA entrance exams.

Applicants are required to appear in one of the following Admission Tests after registering for it: XAT2020 to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on January 05, 2020; CAT2019 by IIMs on November 24, 2019; GMATtaken in 2018 or 2019.

In case applicant does not register and appear in any of above entrance exams. he/she can appear in X-GMTto be conducted by Xavier University, Bhubaneswar on January 25, 2020.

Please note that registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB, if not opting for X-GMT which was held on January 25, 2020.

Step 2: Apply to XUB

Applicants have to fill up theonline application formseparately available on XUB website.Upon successfully filling the online application form and paying the application fee, of Rs.1600/- for the first option, and Rs.800/- each for the subsequent options the applicant will be intimated by email about the acceptance of the form.
Use single form for applying for multiple programs and/or through multiple tests
Besides registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT, one has to apply (online) separately to Xavier University, Bhubaneswar.
Application based on CAT 2019 exam was closed on December 16, 2019

XIMB Admission Process 2020

Shortlist

• Candidates have been short-listed for GD-PI-WAT round on the basis of their sectional and overall score in the entrance exam after declaration of entrance exam result.
• The Institute decides the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Interview Round

• After the Shortlisting process, GD-PI-WAT is held in different cities to select the suitable students for the programme.
• WAT, GD & PI will be held in Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai. Candidates will have to meet their own travel expenses for appearing in the Interview session.

Final Admission Offer

• The final selection is based on academic profile, performance in entrance exam, performance in Interview round, work experience among others.
• Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the last week of April 2020. Academic session would commence in the middle of June 2020.
• According to XIMB admission criteria, the institute will accept scores of CAT, XAT, GMAT but if you have not appeared in these exams, it conducts X-GMT. Those who appear for X-GMT have to clear the sectional and overall cut offs.
• The other Schools of XUB offering MBA programmes will also accept NMAT by GMAC 2scores for programs: MBA-HRM, MBA-RM, MBA-SM, MBA-UMG and MBF.
• However, for MBA (Business Management) 2020 offered by XIMB, registration for XAT/CAT/GMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XIMB, if not opting for X-GMT.

XUB Cut Off

• Xavier University, Bhubaneswar gives emphasis not only on entrance exam scores but also on Academic Profile, Work experience, and other parameters.
• XIMB or other B-schools of XUB will announce their cut offs at the time of shortlisting. However, they keep their cut offs moderate in the range of 85 to 90 percentile and the candidates above the minimum cut-offs in the CAT/XAT/GMAT will be considered for all the subsequent stages
