IIM Amritsar has yet again, successfully completed the final Placement 2024 for its 8th and large MBA 2022-24 batch of MBA, MBA – Business Analytics, and MBA – HRM programs. Despite the large batch size, the institute has achieved 100% placement with more recruiters participating in placements 2024. Students secured placements across diverse roles in Finance, Marketing, Consulting, General Management, Analytics, and HR. This includes 39 pre-placement offers (PPOs), 2 Pre-placement Interviews (PPIs), and 4 international offers.
Announcing the wrapping up the final placement 2024 for its 8th batch 2022-24 for one of the 7 newest IIMs, Prof Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director, IIM Amritsar said, “This year has been particularly difficult for IIMs/IITs to place students due to various factors like elections, market unpredictability, global conflicts, and a general economic slowdown,” and added “While India has shown resilience, the interconnectedness of the global economy plays a role. We are proud to have sustained our placement momentum.”
IIM Amritsar has started awarding MBA degree instead of Post Graduate Diploma to its students after the implementation of IIM Act 2017. IIM Amritsar has achieved highest salary of Rs.58.52 LPA and median salary of Rs.15 LPA in placement 2024. The Average for the top-quartile came out to INR 19.59 LPA. IIM Amritsar witnessed participation of 240 leading corporates across domains and sectors like Analytics, Automobile, BFSI, FMCG/FMCD, Consulting, IT, Logistics, Oil & Gas, Retail and many more.

Top recruiters making large number of offers and high salary packages include Landmark Group, TASC, Accenture, Adani Group, Tata group companies, Reliance Group, Amazon, Arcesium, EXL, GMR Group, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, MPhasis, and Schneider Electric, among others. The institute also welcomed prestigious new recruiters like Egniol Group, DS Group, BharatForge, DOLAT Capital, DawaaDost, EValueserve, Prime Focus Technologies, and Unacademy.
