The PhD program at KSOM is designed to provide students with research knowledge and skills to make them specialized researchers.
The program has adequate flexibility to cater to full time scholars and working executives. This Centre for Management and Leadership Research aims to create new management knowledge relevant for India and emerge as an inclusive platform for cross-disciplinary research.

Scholars are encouraged to develop the right vision, aptitude and investigative & computing skills to contribute significantly to develop the theory and practice of management in their chosen areas.
Research in management must be relevant to organizations in various sectors of society and economy. It should address contemporary issues, and take us in the direction of implementable ideas. Such research requires the scholars to develop intimate familiarity with ground realities as well as an ability to formulate rigorous research projects.
Keeping this in mind, the PhD programme at KSOM is designed to provide students with research knowledge and research skills that make them specialized researchers, with adequate depth of knowledge in various knowledge-domains of management. At KSOM we have completely revamped and re-launched our PhD Programme catering to the needs of the regular full time scholars and working executives. Our redesigned PhD programme is a precursor to our dream of setting up a unique Centre for Management and Leadership Research in India, which would aim to create new management knowledge relevant for India and the world. It is further envisaged that the Center will emerge as an inclusive platform for cross-disciplinary research in various fields as well.

KSOM is looking for candidates with a consistently good academic record, professional accomplishments and a strong urge to contribute to knowledge creation and dissemination in the field of management. The admission for the Ph.D. Programme will be in accordance with the rules and clauses of the Ph.D. regulations of the University. The eligibility criteria for applying into the programme :
M.Tech./ME /MCA /MBA/ or an equivalent degree with minimum 60% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Or M.Sc./MA/M.Com./LLM or an equivalent degree with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
Or
B.Tech./ BE or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). A valid GATE score is essential for students having B.Tech./ BE degree.
Candidates in their final year degree and expecting post-graduation results within June, 2022 can also apply for the Ph.D. Programme. Such applicants are required to submit along with their application form, a certificate from the Principal or Head of the Institution to the effect that the candidate is expected to complete all requirements for completion and award of the degree with in June, 2022.
All the working executives will also have to furnish a “NO Objection Certificate” from the Employer in addition to all other academic documents.
