SPJIMR’s Global Management Programme (GMP) is for participants aspiring to do Masters abroad and launch their global careers. For the GMP programme, SPJIMR partners with top-ranked management institutes across Europe, the UK, the USA and Canada to offer full-time international (MBA) management programmes. The programme intakes two cohorts every year in January and June. GMP’s 600+ alumni in leadership positions worldwide affirm that a Master’s in Global Business Management develops participants for leadership roles in global businesses.

Graduating from the joint programme gives the participants dual alumni status of belonging to SPJIMR and the international partner school alumni network. 

GMP Placements: Different in Each Country: GMP has a proven and consistent track record of 100% placement assistance. Graduates of the joint programme are placed in the country where they complete their MBA/MS. SPJIMR partner schools collaborate with organisations across destinations. GMP Programme Office, the partner school, and alumni, work towards the participants’ employability. Most companies tend to first hire for internships if the candidates prove to be capable; they are absorbed in a permanent position. The average expected salary after internships varies from $85,000 to $1,20,000 (approx INR 66 L to INR 94 L) in the US. In Europe, it is €45,000 to €65,000 (approx INR 37 L to Rs 53 L) and £41,000 to £65,000 (approx. INR 39 L to INR 60 L ) in the UK. There are instances of SPJIMR alumni earning a salary of EUR 1,20,000. GMP alumni are established globally with notable achievements presenting cases of exemplary leadership. As such, GMP Average salary in placements is expected Rs.50 LPA in terms of Indian currency.

Curriculum Highlights

The participants complete their first semester, which is for 6 months, at SPJIMR, where they learn the fundamentals of general management and much more. The international partner schools accept the credits earned here towards completing the Global MBA/MS degree. SPJIMR GMP programme includes preparatory Term; Foundation; Compulsory Courses and Electives. 

Once the participants enrol in GMP, access will be given to the six online course pack by Harvard Business Publishing Education, as part of the Pre-Term GMP Launch. This preparatory course is designed to provide world-class education and equip participants with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the business world. The Foundation and Compulsory courses cover Communication, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Statistics, Design Thinking. 

Electives provide more knowledge and are selected based on the partner school’s requirements and the student’s interest. Participants undertake foreign language training (German, French, Dutch) irrespective of their chosen partner school. Participants complete 54 credits at GMP with pre-reads, post-reads, individual assignments, group work activities, presentations, quizzes and exams. On completion of GMP, SPJIMR awards a certificate, and the international partner school awards the MBA/MS degree on successful completion of the programme.

GMP programme architecture is flexible to accommodate specific partner schools’ needs for credit recognition. Mandatory courses include project management along with certification, problem-solving using design thinking, quantitative methods for decision science, core management courses on marketing, finance & accounting, operations/supply chain, organisational behaviour, HR and foreign language. Four – eight credits for a foreign language are compulsory. Language courses offered are German, French, and Dutch. Participants can opt for any one of the foreign language courses. International partner schools offer a portfolio of specialisations. The programme also provides electives for specific partner schools.

Eligibility Criteria

•    Graduation in any stream with 55% and above can apply.
•    A valid GRE/GMAT/CAT/XAT/NMAT score.
•    Freshers and candidates with work experience can apply.
•    The code to submit the GMAT score is 6DQ-MJ-52, the GRE score is 5020 and the TOEFL score is C862

Admission Process

Interested aspirants need to fill the GMP application form Online (application fee is INR 2000) and the partner school application form (no additional application fee charged)

  • Once you submit the application, SPJIMR and its international partner schools will jointly shortlist candidates who fulfil the defined eligibility criteria of both schools
  • Shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews at SPJIMR Campus, Mumbai & SPJIMR Centre, Delhi.
  • Interviews are conducted by both SPJIMR and the partner school. The schools jointly decide on the selection of candidates for the programme.
  • The selection process is based on the applicants’ consistent academic records, entrance scores, profiles, and work experience, amongst other things.
  • The final results of the interviews are released within 15-20 days of the interview process.

How to Apply

You need to take following Steps to apply for GMP admission: 

  • Create a login. Verify Email. Fill out the online application form. Upload the required documents and pay application fees.
  • Interested aspirants need to fill the GMP application form (application fee is INR 2000) and the partner school application form (no additional application fee charged). 
  • A candidate can select a maximum of two different partner schools (primary and secondary).
  • Participants who have submitted their applications for PGDM/ PGPM can use the same registration number and apply for GMP without paying application fees 
  • Aspirants must fill separate application forms for some partner schools. Details are available in the application form.
  • LoR, SoP and video essays are part of the partner school application process.

Selection Process
