MICAT and MICA have Same Eligibility Criteria
MICA admission eligibility and MICAT eligibility criteria 2025 are same. The candidates who wish to apply for MICA admission 2025 for either of the two programmes - PGDM-C or PGDM, have to appear in CAT, XAT or GMAT followed by MICAT.

MICA conducts two MICAT exams which have 50% weight in its selection process. Both the MICAT exams are computer based tests. MICAT 1 is scheduled in December 2024 first week and MICAT II will be conducted in January 2025 last week. It is not possible to get admission in the PGDM or PGDM-C programme at MICA Ahmedabad without appearing in MICAT I or MICAT II. As such appearing in MICAT and scoring well in it, is the basic eligibility criterion for MICA admission 2025. The eligibility criteria for MICAT 1 and MICAT 2 are same. The major difference is that if a candidate appears in MICAT 1, he/she has option to improve the MICAT score by applying and appearing in MICAT 2.
MICA has not prescribed any minimum or maximum age to either appear in MICAT or to apply for MICA admission. A candidate fulfilling academic eligibility and has take at least one of the MBA entrance exams is eligible to appear in MICAT and for MICA admission
While MICA requires an applicant to apply and appear in at least one of the three exams – CAT/XAT/GMAT, and also in its own admission test MICAT, which has same eligibility criteria as that of MICA admission, the best score out of CAT/XAT/GMAT will be considered in shortlisting and the better of the two MICAT exams’ score will be considered in admission.
Candidates who demonstrate aptitude for expressing, assessing, and /or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results tend to stand a better chance of being shortlisted by MICA.
