TISS NET 2024: Exam Cancelled; TISS to Accept CAT 2023 and CUET (PG) 2024 Score; Check Key Details, Impact on Admission Process, Options Available

 

The present TISSNET will not be conducted any more as per the notification released by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) for admission 2024 onwards. After Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has cancelled its own PG entrance exam TISSNET 2024 for admission 2024 and has made CAT 2023 and CUET PG 2024 exams mandatory for Admission 2024 to various PG programmes, TISS aspirants are worried about other options as the CAT registration is already closed. TISS Admission 2024: No TISSNET

  • TISSNET 2024 has been cancelled by Tata Institute of Social Sciences
  • Now CAT 2023 is Mandatory Exam for M.A. (HRM & LR), M.A. (ODCL) Admission 2024
  • CUET (PG) 2024 is the Mandatory Exam for Admission 2024 in other PG programs
  • TISS Aspirants to appear in CAT 2023 or CUET PG and apply separately for TISS Admission
  • TISS Applications for Admission 2024 likely to Open in December 2023

In its notification dated November 14, 2023, Tata Institute of Social Sciences has clarified, “The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), has decided that admission for the forthcoming Academic Session 2024-25 for all its Postgraduate Programmes will be based on the CUET (PG)-2024 scores, except for the following programmes, which will consider CAT scores.

  • Master of Arts in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations
  • Master of Arts in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership

All additional details, updates, and notifications, as applicable, will soon be accessible on the Institute's admissions website.”

TISS NET Eligibility Criteria 2024 constitute the TISSNET exam 2024 eligibility and programme specific TISS eligibility for M.A. (HRM) admission 2024 at Tata Institute of Social Sciences. TISS NET is a computer based National Entrance Test for the all Masters programmes offered by different campuses of Tata Institute of Social Sciences. These M.A. programmes of Tata Institute of Social Sciences are highly sought after Masters Degree courses for the candidates seeking career in management and other branches.  Different M.A. Programmes, for example M.A. (HRM) at TISS commands a reputation as high as MBA or PGDM in HR from a top B-school in India.

TISS NET Exam Eligibility 2024: Key Criteria

Tata Institute of Social Sciences has issued following important guidelines that determine TISSNET 2024 eligibility criteria:

  1. To become eligible for TISSNET 2024, the candidate must have passed in the Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
  2. Although TISS NET Eligibility does not require 50% or above marks in bachelor’s degree, the TISSNET Exam Eligibility Criteria 2024 for TISS requires that you must have obtained a bachelor's degree with minimum 3 years duration or its equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university. This is also the minimum TISS NET 2024 eligibility requirement to apply for TISSNET exam. 
  3. Candidates who will successfully complete, in all respects, all the requirements of their final year eligible degree (including all examinations and internships, if applicable) by June 2024, are also eligible to apply.
  4. Those candidates who are eligible to apply, but cannot submit the degree certificate and grade/mark sheet at the time of admission are required to submit these latest by August 31, 2024, failing which their provisional admission would stand automatically cancelled without any further reference to the candidate. The onus will be on the candidate to submit the degree/provisional degree and grade/mark sheet. No further extension of date will be allowed under any circumstances.
  5. At the time of applying candidates studying in 3 year degree progremme should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in 4 year degree progrmmes should have passed in all the subjects for 1st to 6th semester.
  6. Until a candidate submits her/his degree certificate and final mark/grade sheet as evidence of having successfully completed the eligibility criteria by the given date, the admission offered will remain provisional.
  7. Eligibility, determined on the basis of information provided in the application, will be used for the final selection process. If the information provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect or misleading at any point of time, her/his candidature/admission will be summarily cancelled. The Institute shall also reserve the right to take any legal action as deemed fit for any such act of misrepresentation or false declaration.
  8. Candidates shortlisted for personal interview are required to produce original certificate and mark sheet on the date of personal interview, for verifying that the candidate is eligible for admission. Those who are in the final year but are eligible to apply (as per clause b, above) are required to produce the mark sheets of all previous semesters (excluding the final semester) for verification on the date of personal interview. Candidates who do not bring the aforesaid certificates in original shall not be allowed to appear for the interview.

TISS NET Eligibility Criteria 2024: General

TISS NET 2024 eligibility criteria prescribe that only those Candidates who are able to complete all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by June 2024 are eligible to apply to all the programme.

 

Another key TISS NET eligibility criterion is that till the time, the candidate submits result of the final year degree examination, admission to any of the Master's Degree Programmes of the Institute will be provisional.

 

To qualify the TISSNET exam eligibility, such candidates have to submit the results of their final examination before August 31, 2024. Those who fail to do so, the provisional admission at TISS for them stands cancelled.

The candidates applying for admission at TISS must have passed in all the subjects. A candidate in final year of his/her graduation in a 3 year degree programme should have passed in all the subjects from the 1st to 4th semesters and candidate studying in 4 year degree programmes should have passed in all the subjects from the 1st to 6th semester.

 

TISS has advised the candidates to check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Candidates found ineligible will be rejected at any stage in the admission process and no grievances will be entertained in this regard.
