CMAT Registration 2027: Registration Date, Last Date, Fees, Eligibility and How to Register

CMAT Registration 2027 will be conducted only online on cmat.nta.nic.in. NTA has not yet announced the CMAT registration date 2027; it will do so through the CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin. The key details of the CMAT 2027 registration process are given below. Details marked "expected" are based on the official CMAT 2026 schedule.

The CMAT 2027 registration date has not been announced yet. Based on last year's schedule and the proposed exam date, the CMAT exam registration date 2027 is expected in October 2026, and the CMAT registration last date 2027 is expected in the last week of November or the first week of December 2026. The CMAT exam 2026 registration date was October 17, 2025, and the original registration last date was November 17, 2025. NTA then extended the CMAT last date to apply 2026 by one week to November 24, 2025, so the registration window stayed open for 39 days. There were 62 days between the extended registration last date and the exam on January 25, 2026. If NTA keeps a similar gap for CMAT 2027, the CMAT registration 2027 last date would fall around the first week of December 2026. Extensions are never guaranteed, so register as early as you can.

The CMAT 2027 registration process is completed in four steps on cmat.nta.nic.in. You can complete all four steps together or at separate times, but your CMAT Registration 2027 is complete only after you pay the fee and the confirmation page is generated.

1. New Registration: create your account and receive your system-generated Application Number.
2. Application Form: log in and fill in your personal and educational details, choose four exam cities and upload your photograph and signature.
3. Fee Payment: pay the CMAT registration fees online.
4. Confirmation Page: download and print the confirmation page as proof of registration.

Step 1: New Registration on cmat.nta.nic.in
When you open the CMAT portal, the home page shows three options: Steps to Apply Online, Register yourself for the above-mentioned examination, and Already Registered Candidate. New candidates must begin with New Registration.

1. Visit cmat.nta.nic.in and click the CMAT 2027 registration link once it goes live.
2. Under "Register yourself for the above-mentioned examination", click the "New Registration" button.
3. Read the instructions and tick the undertaking confirming that you have downloaded and read the CMAT 2027 Information Bulletin.
4. Fill in your personal details (name, date of birth and gender), contact details and address. Enter your name and date of birth exactly as in your Class X certificate.
5. Create a password, and choose a security question and its answer.
6. Enter the OTP sent by SMS to your mobile number to verify it.

Once your details are verified, a message confirms that your registration is complete and that your Application Number has been sent to your email address. Note down this system-generated Application Number. You will need it, along with your password, for every login and for all correspondence with NTA. If you do not receive the email, check your spam or junk folder.

Step 2: Fill the CMAT Application Form
Log in with your Application Number and password to complete the CMAT application form: personal and educational details, choice of four exam cities, and upload of your photograph and signature. Step 3: Pay the CMAT Registration Fees
After completing the form, pay the CMAT registration fees online through net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI. The payment screen shows your name, Application Number and the amount payable for your category. Wait until the payment status shows "OK" before you close the window.

Step 4: Download the Confirmation Page
The confirmation page is generated only after successful fee payment, and it is the proof that your CMAT 2027 registration is complete. Download it, save a copy and keep a printout for future reference. You do not need to send it to NTA by post, fax, WhatsApp, email or by hand.

CMAT Login 2027 and Password Rules
After registration, you can log in to your CMAT account at any time to complete the application form, pay the fee, make corrections during the correction window, and later download your admit card and scorecard.

How to Log In to Your CMAT Account
1.    Visit cmat.nta.nic.in and click "Login" under Already Registered Candidate.
2.    Enter your Application Number or registered email ID.
3.    Enter your password.
4.    Enter the Security PIN shown on the screen. It is case-sensitive.
5.    Click "Login" to open your candidate dashboard.

 

CMAT Password Rules
Your CMAT password must follow NTA's password policy:

• It must be 8 to 13 characters long.
• It must have at least one uppercase letter and at least one lowercase letter.
• It must have at least one number.
• It must have at least one special character, for example ! @ # $ % ^ & * -

Record your password safely and do not share it with anyone. Neither NTA nor NIC is responsible for the misuse of a candidate's password. You can change your password after logging in, and you should always log out at the end of each session so that nobody else can alter your details.

Forgot Your CMAT Password or Application Number?
Use the "Forgot your password?" or "Forgot Application Number?" option on the login page. You can reset your password in three ways:

• Through the security question and answer you chose during registration.
• Through a verification code sent by SMS to your registered mobile number.
• Through a reset link sent to your registered email address.

CMAT registration fees 2027 are expected to follow the official CMAT 2026 fee structure. Only General (UR) male candidates pay ₹2,500, while all other candidates pay ₹1,250. The CMAT registration 2027 fees are payable only online, and bank processing charges and GST are extra.

The CMAT exam fees, CMAT form fees and CMAT application fee all refer to the same one-time examination fee; NTA does not charge a separate registration fee. Pay it before the CMAT form fees last date, which was November 25, 2025 last year. Before you begin CMAT 2027 registration, check that you meet the eligibility criteria. Based on the CMAT 2026 Information Bulletin, they are expected to be:

• A bachelor's degree in any discipline. Final-year students whose result will be declared before admissions begin for academic year 2027-28 can also register.
• Indian citizenship.
• No age limit.

NTA does not verify your details at the time of registration, so your candidature remains provisional until eligibility is checked as per AICTE norms. Read the complete CMAT 2027 eligibility criteria.

Your CMAT 2027 registration is successful, and your candidature is confirmed, only when NTA receives your fee. Check these three points to confirm your registration status:

• Your candidate dashboard shows the registration, application and payment steps as complete.
• Your payment status shows "OK".
• Your confirmation page has been generated and can be downloaded.

What If the Confirmation Page Is Not Generated?

1. Contact the helpline of the bank or payment gateway (SBI or Canara Bank) to check whether the payment went through.
2. If the transaction is still not reflected on the portal, contact the NTA helpline at 011-40759000 or write to [email protected].
3. If the issue is not resolved, you may have to pay again. NTA refunds any duplicate payment through the same payment mode after fee reconciliation.

When you raise a payment query, share the name of the bank or payment gateway, the date and time of the transaction, the transaction number, the bank reference number, proof of the transaction and a screenshot of the payment failure.

• Register only once. NTA does not accept multiple applications; they lead to cancellation of the result, and a candidate with more than one Application Number is treated under Unfair Means.
• Use your own mobile number and email ID, or a parent's or guardian's that you can access. One mobile number and email ID can be used for only one registration.
• Keep your Application Number, password and security answer safe. You will need them until the result is declared.
• Do not wait for the CMAT registration 2027 last date. An extension is never guaranteed, and NTA may close registration on the announced date.
• Remember that CMAT fees are non-refundable. The fee, once paid, will neither be refunded nor carried forward, and absentees forfeit their fee.
• Check the NTA website and your email regularly for updates on the correction window, city intimation slip and admit card.

CMAT registrations fell sharply in 2026. NTA's Press Release of February 17, 2026 shows that 53,453 candidates registered for CMAT 2026, of whom 41,872 took the exam, an attendance rate of 78.33%. Compared with 74,012 registrations for CMAT 2025, this was a fall of 27.8%, the steepest annual drop in the last five years.

What the CMAT 2026 registration data shows:

• Women made up 47.7% of registered candidates, and attendance was almost the same for women (78.0%) and men (78.6%).
• General category candidates accounted for 50.5% of registrations, followed by OBC-NCL at 28.8%.
• 11,581 registered candidates, or 21.7%, did not take the exam, so registering early must be followed by steady preparation.
