2. How to Register for CMAT 2025?

CMAT Registration process can be completed online on CMAT official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/ in three simple steps. Remember CMAT registration process will be considered complete only after you have paid the requisite CMAT exam fees, submit the application and receive the confirmation message from National Testing Agency. After submission of CMAT application, you will get confirmation message. You can download and take print of your application only after getting this message.

3. Documents required for filling CMAT Application Form

Candidate should keep the following documents ready before starting the filling of CMAT Application Form:

  1. A computer with proper internet connectivity
  2. The particulars of a valid Government ID proof
  3. The Date of Birth (as mentioned in Class X Board Certificate)
  4. Govt Identity Details like Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Passport number/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/PAN Number/ Other valid Govt IDs.
  5. Educational/Qualification details
  6. Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.
  7. Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)
  8. PwD certificate (file size: 50kb to 300kb), if applicable.
  9. List of City of your choice (Refer Appendix-VII for Cities) 14
  10. Bank account details for payment of fee.
  11. A valid e-mail Id as important communications will be made on this e-mail ID.
  12. A valid mobile number as important information via SMS will be sent to this number.
  13. A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account for ONLINE payment.

4. CMAT Exam 2025 Registration: Step by Step Process

Step 1: Visit CMAT Official Website and Apply for Online Registration

Step 2: Fill in the Online Application Form 

Step 3: Pay Fee Online and receive a confirmation from CMAT website

All the 3 Steps can be done together or at separate timings. Remember, the submission of Application of a candidate is considered as successful and confirmed only on the successful transaction/receipt of the prescribed application fee.

Important Points to Note:

  • The final submission of Online Application Form will remain incomplete if Step - 2 and Step-3 are not completed, such Application Forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.
  • No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained.
  • The entire application process of CMAT-2025 is online, including uploading of scanned images, Payment of Fees and Printing of Confirmation page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation page to NTA through Post/Fax/By Hand/E-mail.
  • All the candidates who have submitted the online application and paid the Examination fee till last date will be allowed to appear in CMAT-2025 and their Admit Cards will be uploaded on the website as per schedule.

Let understand these three steps in detail, along with necessary documents required to complete these steps. 

Step 1: Apply for Online Registration
To start your CMAT application process, your first register yourself online. Follow these steps to apply for your online registration. 

  • Visit CMAT official website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/. On this page, click on the ‘Click Here to Register/Login’ link to open CMAT exam registration page. You will be taken to a new page (https://cmat.ntaonline.in/) to start your CMAT registration process.
  • On https://cmat.ntaonline.in/ page, click on green button titled ‘New Candidates Register Here’. You will be taken to new page (https://cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/index) 
  • On https://cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/index page, read the instructions and download ‘CMAT Information Bulletin’. Then, check on check box at the bottom of the page, and press ‘click here to proceed’ button. You will be taken to new page (https://cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/login-identification)
  • On https://cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/login-identification, choose the document (Aadhar Number/ Digilocker Account/ Indian Passport and other options) that you wish to use for authentication purpose. Linking with Aadhar is recommended as for authentication through Non-Aadhaar options, you will need to reach Exam Centre 1 hour earlier to get the authentication completed. You will be taken to new page (https://cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/create) 
  • On https://cmat.ntaonline.in/registration/create, fill in the basic information and note down the system generated Application No. You will be required to enter following information: 
    (i) Candidate’s Name/ Mother’s Name/ Father’s Name 
    (ii) Date of Birth 
    (iii) Mobile Number and e-mail Address 
  • After successfully submitting your details, you will be received OTP on your email which you need to submit on CMAT website. After submitting OTP you will receive a Registration Verification message, as below. 

Step 2: Fill Online Application Form
After you have successfully registered using steps above, you will need to login into your account from https://cmat.ntaonline.in/site/login page by submitting following details, same as provided in step 1 above): 

  • Application No./Email
  • Password
  • Security PIN 


After login, you will be asked to submit some more details such as:

  • Your choice of CMAT Exam centers 
  • Your educational qualifications
  • Your Photograph 
  • Your Signature 

CMAT Candidate Photograph Guideline

  • Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. Photograph should cover 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background. 
  • Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly. 
  • Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable. 
  • Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.
  • Application without photograph shall be rejected. 
  • The photograph need not be attested. 
  • Candidates are advised to take 6 to 8 passport size-coloured photographs with white background.
  • Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading on Online Application Form and also for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination centre.
  • The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph for uploading. File size must be between 10 kb to 200 kb. 

The candidate should put his full signature on white paper with Blue/Black Ink pen and scan for uploading. File size must be between 04 kb to 30 kb. 

Step 3: Pay Fee Online and receive a Confirmation from CMAT website  

After successfully completing above two steps, CMAT Registration & Application fee can be paid online through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-Challan. You have to select Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of CMAT Application fee. CMAT Registration Fee 2025 includes the CMAT 2025 Application Fee and CMAT 2025 Exam fee. After completing the payment you will receive a confirmation on CMAT site as well as in your email box. 

After making successful payment of CMAT registration and exam fee, you can download and print the Confirmation Page.

5. CMAT Registration Fees 2025

7. Why to Register for CMAT 2025? Importance of CMAT Exam

CMAT 2025 is the important exam for MBA admission in AICTE approved MBA/PGDM colleges. To appear in CMAT 2025 you must register for the exam first. By completing your CMAT 2025 registration process and appearing in CMAT exam, you become eligible to be considered in 1000 AICTE approved MBA colleges for admission 2025.

8. How to Avoid mistake in Registration Process? Key Points

Take following steps to avoid mistakes in CMAT registration process:

  • Review Each Page: Before finally submitting the CMAT registration and application pages, you should review and verify the details in each page. For example, before submitting the Online Registration Form of CMAT 2025, you must review all your personal details, address, date of birth, mobile number, email Id among others and confirm the action on the page before submission. If you wish to change any particulars, you can do it by clicking on ‘Edit Registration Form’ button.
  • Click on I Agree: You have to click on the declaration that all the particulars that you have filled in the registration form are correct before final submission. 
  • Option to Fill CMAT Application in One Go or Separately: All the Steps of CMAT Registration and application 2025 completion can be done together or at separate timings. So, do not be in hurry and take your time to understand and then fill the information
  • Check for Successful Submission of CMAT Application: The submission of Application of a candidate could be considered as successful and his/her candidature would be confirmed only on the successful transaction/receipt of the prescribed application fee from him/her. So check the confirmation message received from NTA.

9. CMAT 2025 Registration Error Correction

After the last date for submission of CMAT 2025 registration form is over, a limited period CMAT Application form error correction window will open from December 15 to 17, 2024. The candidates will be allowed to correct/modify/edit some of the particular(s) of the Application Form online only like photo, exam centre. No personal details can be edited. 

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an important and one of the largest national level MBA entrance exams for MBA admission 2025 in 1000 MBA/PGDM colleges which offer AICTE approved management programs. All the candidates who complete their CMAT 2025 registration within the Registration window will be treated at par in Test Centre Allotment and Test session allotment process. NTA has not changed the CMAT 2025 exam pattern which remains like last year.
