National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration for Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026 from October 17, 2025 onwards. So, Registration for CMAT-2026 is LIVE now. CMAT registration 2026 last date is November 17, 2025. NTA has not announced the CMAT exam date 2026, however the exam is expected in January 2026. Last year, CMAT exam date 2025 was January 25, 2025. CMAT exam fees is Rs 2500 for male candidates and Rs 1250 for female candidates. CMAT Official Website 2026 is cmat.nta.nic.in. CMAT Registration 2026: Important Dates

CMAT 2026 registration start date was October 17, 2026. CMAT 2026 registration last date is November 17, 2026. NTA has not announced CMAT 2026 exam date yet. Documents required for CMAT Registration 2026

CMAT registration process is given below. Candidate should keep the following documents ready before starting to fill CMAT Application Form 2026:
1. Technical Requirements:

  • A computer with proper internet connectivity

2. Personal Identification Details:

  • The particulars of a valid Government ID proof
  • Govt Identity Details like Aadhaar Number (last 4 digits)/Election Card (EPIC No.)/Passport number/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/PAN Number/ Other valid Govt IDs.
  • The Date of Birth (as mentioned in Class X Board Certificate)

3. Educational Qualification:

  • Educational/Qualification details
  • PwD certificate (file size: 50kb to 300kb), if applicable.

4. Digital Documents (Scanned Images):

  • Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.
  • Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)

5. Application Preferences:

  • List of Exam City of your choice.   

6. Contact Information:

  • A valid e-mail Id as important communications will be made on this e-mail ID.
  • A valid mobile number as important information via SMS will be sent to this number.

7. Payment Information:

  • Bank account details for payment of fee.
  • A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account for ONLINE payment.

CMAT Registration 2026: Overview

CMAT Registration process can be completed only on CMAT official website https://cmat.nta.nic.in/ in simple steps. These steps are given in detail below. Read them carefully and follow them to avoid any errors. 

Remember CMAT registration process will be considered complete only after you have paid the requisite CMAT exam fees, submitted the application and received the confirmation message from National Testing Agency. After submission of CMAT application, you will get confirmation message. You can download and take print of your application only after getting this message.  

CMAT Registration 2026: Step by Step Guide

CMAT Registration process can be completed by following the simple steps given below.

  • Step 1: Apply For Online Registration
  • Step 2: Fill in the Online Application Form
  • Step 3:  Pay Examination Fee  
  • Step 4: Download Confirmation Page

All the steps can be done together or on separate dates and timings. Let understand these three steps in detail, along with necessary documents required to complete these steps.

Step 1: Apply for Online Registration
To start your CMAT application process, your first register yourself online. Follow these steps to apply for your online registration. 

  • Visit CMAT official website cmat.nta.nic.in. On this page, click on the ‘Registration for CMAT-2026’ link. CMAT exam registration page will open.
  • On this page, you will see option ‘Register Yourself for the above mentioned exam’. Click on the ‘New Registration’ button. CMAT application form registration page will open.
  • Read CMAT exam instructions on this page and click CMAT exam undertaking that says “I have downloaded the Information Bulletin of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)-2026, read and understood all the Instructions therein as well as those mentioned above, and will fill up the online Application Form for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)-2026 accordingly.”
  • CMAT personal details forms will open. Fill your personal details like Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address and submit it.
  • You also have to create your CMAT login Password and security question that you will use to login to your CMAT account to fill complete form and download CMAT admit card. 

After successfully submitting your details, you will be received OTP on your email which you need to submit on CMAT website. After submitting OTP you will receive a Registration Verification message, as below. 

Step 2: Fill Online Application Form
After you have successfully registered in step 1 above, you need to login into your account by submitting following details: 

  • Application No./Email ID
  • Password
  • Security PIN 

After login, you will be asked to submit some more details such as:

  • Your choice of CMAT Exam centres
  • Your educational qualifications
  • Your Photograph (check guidelines in a separate section below)
  • Your Signature (check guidelines in a separate section below)

Step 3: Pay Fee Online 
After successfully completing step 1 and 2, pay CMAT Registration & Application fee online through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-Challan. CMAT Registration Fee 2026 includes the CMAT Application Fee and CMAT Exam fee. After completing the payment, you will receive a confirmation on CMAT site as well as in your email box. 

 

Step 4: Download Confirmation Page
After making successful payment of CMAT registration and exam fee, you can download and print the Confirmation Page. This is a proof that your CMAT exam registration is complete. 

Important Instruction about CMAT PASSWORD

During online form filling, the candidate will be required to choose PASSWORD and Security Question and its Answer. The candidate is advised to record/remember their password for all future logins. For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with their respective system-generated Application Number and the chosen Password. The candidate is advised not to disclose or share their password with anybody. Neither NTA nor NIC will be responsible for the violation or misuse of the password of a candidate. Candidates can change his/her passwords after login if desired. Candidates should remember to log out at the end of their session so that the particulars of the candidate cannot be tampered with or modified by unauthorized persons.

The Password must be as per the following Password policy.

  • Password must be 8 to 13 characters long.
  • Password must have at least one Upper case alphabet.
  • Password must have at least one Lower case alphabet.
  • Password must have at least one numeric value.
  • Password must have at least one special character for example: !@#$%^&*-

How to reset CMAT Password
The following options are available to reset Password

  • Using Security Question and its Answer you have chosen during Form filling.
  • Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No.
  • Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address.

CMAT Photograph and Signature Guideline

NTA has issued following CMAT guidelines for candidates regarding uploading correct photograph and signature:

  • Photograph should not be with cap or goggles. Photograph should cover 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against white background.
  • Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.
  • Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
  • Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.
  • Application without photograph shall be rejected.
  • The photograph need not be attested.
  • Candidates are advised to take 6 to 8 passport size-coloured photographs with white background.
  • Passport size photograph is to be used for uploading on Online Application Form and also for pasting on Attendance Sheet at the Examination centre.
  • The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph for uploading. File size must be between 10 kb to 200 kb.
  • The candidate should put his full signature on white paper with Blue/Black Ink pen and scan for uploading. File size must be between 04 kb to 30 kb.

CMAT registration 2026 fees is Rs 2500 for male candidates, and Rs 1250 for female and reserved candidates. Service Tax and GST charges are added to the fees. Check details in table below.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

CMAT registration 2026 eligibility criteria are as below:

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree, whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2026-27, can also apply for CMAT exam.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT exam.

CMAT Exam Registration Mistakes to Avoid

Take following steps to avoid mistakes in CMAT registration process:

  • Review Carefully: Check all details on each page (e.g., personal info, DOB, contact) before submitting. Use the 'Edit Registration Form' button to make changes.
  • Flexibility in Filling: You can complete the entire registration and application at once or in separate sessions. Take your time and review all details after some time and only then press submit button.
  • Agree to Declaration: You must confirm the accuracy of your information by clicking 'I Agree' before final submission.
  • Fee Payment Confirmation is Key: Your application is only considered successful upon receipt of the application fee. Check for the confirmation message from NTA.

CMAT Registration Error Correction Process

While you must fill form very carefully, in case you have made a mistake, NTA allows you to make some changes after the last date of registration.

After the last date for submission of CMAT registration form is over, CMAT Application form error correction window will open for a few days. The candidates will be allowed to correct/modify/edit some of the particular(s) of the Application Form online only like photo, exam center. Remember, no personal details can be edited.
