IIM Shillong Director: Prof. D.P. Goyal, Professor of Eminence at IIM Shillong, brings over 38 years of rich experience in teaching, research, and leadership across premier institutions like MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, Punjabi University, and Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. He has also served as a Visiting Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark, for nearly a decade. With a strong academic foundation, Prof. Goyal has supervised 15 Ph.D. scholars and published over 60 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals. His contributions include authoring more than a dozen books, including a widely recognized textbook on Management Information Systems, and serving on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals.
In addition to his academic accomplishments, Prof. Goyal has been the principal investigator for numerous sponsored research projects and actively contributes to academic governance. He is a member of expert committees, boards of governors, academic councils, and advisory boards for leading business schools and universities. Holding an MBA from Punjabi University and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from Kurukshetra University, Prof. Goyal continues to shape the academic and research landscape with his expertise and leadership.
