Last Updated on August 19, 2024 by Prof. SK Agarwal

Graduate Management Admission Test, popularly known as GMAT is an important MBA entrance exam. Accepted for MBA admission across the world, GMAT offers an international MBA or Masters in Management (MiM) degree from a leading Business School in USA, Europe, Canada, Australia, Singapore or other international destinations. Many top MBA colleges in India accept GMAT score for admission to one year MBA and some of them also accept GMAT for their 2 year flagship MBA/PGDM programs. GMAT is conducted round the year and offers opportunity to the MBA aspirant to appear in the exam 5 times a year.

GMAT eligibility criteria 2024 do not discriminate based on nationality, religion, sex, background, history and will be based on following parameters:

  • GMAT Exam Eligibility Criteria 2024-Academic Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized institute/university. Students in the final year of graduation or working professionals with bachelor’s degree can write the GMAT exam.
  • Passport Requirement in GMAT Eligibility: Applicants must hold a valid passport at the time of the GMAT exam.
  • Minimum Age Limit for GMAT Eligibility: The applicant should be of 18 years and above age to be eligible to appear for the GMAT. If a candidate is under 18, he/she has to submit written proof from parents/guardians to appear for the GMAT exam. There is no upper age limit for the GMAT exam.
  • GMAT Eligibility Score for Accepting Colleges: Although there is no minimum GMSAT eligibility score prescribed by the GMAC, the candidates appearing in GMAT should check and ensure their GMAT eligibility criteria for the preferred B-schools. Qualifying for the GMAT exam may not get admission in the respective management institute
