GMAT is a management entrance exam conducted by GMAC round the year, and not on any particular dates/month. Making it more aspirant friendly, GMAC has announced to launch shorter and more aspirant friendly GMAT Exam Focus Edition in 2024. The first GMAT Focus Edition exam is on November 7, 2023 and from February 1, 2024, the GMAT Focus Edition Exam will completely replace the present version of GMAT exam

The current GMAT and GMAT Focus Edition, both have two testing modes – GMAT exam at test center and as Online Test which can be taken from home. Accordingly, the GMAT Registration remains open throughout the year. As you have the flexibility to take the exam on any day depending on the date and time slot availability, you can register for the GMAT exam as per your convenience. GMAT exam score is accepted by more than 2000 MBA colleges and universities across the Globe.

 

So, there is neither any rigidity on the GMAT 2023 registration date nor on completing your GMAT 2023 Application form before any fixed date as you can register, apply and appear in GMAT anytime during the year. The exam is conducted online computer based test at test centres as well as Online Proctored Test which you can take from the convenience of your home. However the registration fee for both the testing modes is different and is much higher than CAT or XAT. 1. How to Register for GMAT 2023? GMAT 2023 Application Process
GMAT Exam Registration 2023 is open now and the registration process for GMAT Exam Focus Edition 2024 will open on August 29, 2023 onwards. GMAT application form can be filled up online throughout the year. Key Points to note about GMAT registration are:

  • Earliest Date of GMAT Registration: The earliest GMAT registration can be done six months before the preferred GMAT exam date
  • Last Date of GMAT Registration: The last date to register for GMAT is 24 hours before the exam date subject to availability of date and slot. It is advisable to register for GMAT much before the last minute
  • Modes of GMAT Registration: GMAT Registration 2023 can be completed Online; by Phone; Fax or by Post as well.
  • GMAT Registration Fees: The GMAT Registration Fee for each mode is different - country wise and currency wise

2. GMAT Registration 2023: Getting Ready for the Process
Before moving to login at GMAT official site MBA.com for GMAT Registration, please do some home-work as below:

  • Choose & Decide on the GMAT Testing Mode: As GMAT is conducted at test centers as well as Online test that you can take from your home, before proceeding for registration you need to decide which GMAT testing mode works best for you - online or at a test center.
  • Check GMAT Registration Dates & Timeline: Although GMAT is conducted round the year, and you can register 7 days a week round the year for GMAT, there is GMAT Registration 2023 last date for each GMAT exam. You should plan ahead for GMAT application deadlines. You can register and apply for GMAT upto 24 hours before the preferred exam date subject to availability of slot.

3. GMAT Exam Focus Edition 2024 Registration
GMAC has introduced GMAT Exam Focus Edition 2024. The registration process for the GMAT Focus edition 2024 begins on August 29 onwards and the first GMAT Focus Edition Exam is scheduled in October 2023. The GMAT Focus Edition aims to cater to the changing needs of the business world with more emphasis on critical reasoning and data literacy. The current version of the GMAT will be available until early 2024. GMAT aspirants have the option to register for both the GMAT exam formats from 29 August 2023 onwards.

 

4. GMAT & GMAT Focus Edition: Key Comparison Points
GMAC has announced to launch new version of GMAT - GMAT Exam Focus Edition in 2024 with more flexibility, shorter duration, three sections instead of present four sections with the score of all the 3 sections taken into account for score and percentile calculation. The registration for the GMAT Exam Focus Edition begins on August 29, 2023 and the first GMAT exam focus edition will be conducted from October 2023.

 

The current version of the GMAT™ exam will continue to be available until early 2024 to facilitate your in-progress preparation and applications for business school. The GMAT new version – GMAT Exam Focus Edition will be launched with many aspirant friendly changes as below:

In the next step candidate has to fill profile details for the GMAC account. Make sure you enter details correctly, because on testing day if there is a mismatch you are not allowed to take the GMAT exam. Basic information such as DOB & Country of residence are asked under this stage.

Verify Profile

In this step you are allowed to verify & edit all the details submitted in above steps. Make sure information submitted is correct, because if there is any discrepancy on the testing day, you will not be able to attempt the GMAT Test.

  • Step-4: Schedule Your GMAT exam date and centre or GMAT Online Exam Date: Make sure to allow sufficient time and check appointment availability for the test date
  • Step-5: Check & Confirm GMAT exam Registration details: Please note to check that all the details you have entered are correct. You can edit the same also at this stage
  • Step-6: Make payment of GMAT exam fees: The GMAT Exam Fees is notified in US Dollar, you will need to pay the GMAT Exam Fees in Rupees equivalent to USD fees
  • Step-7: Confirmation on Mail: You will receive confirmation via email on completion of GMAT registration
  • Step-8: Verify All Details: You need to verify that your name, date of birth, citizenship, and gender should match the details as per the identification proof that you will present on the GMAT exam day.
  • Step-9: Select 5 Programmes: Check & Choose maximum 5 Programmes where you wish that GMAC should send your GMAT score. Enter the details of Management Degree, interested locations for pursuing the management course & type of Management Course Interested in.
  • Step-10: Confirmation of Submission: Check the confirmation letter for the GMAT exam to ensure that all the details are correct.

5.1 GMAT Registration by Phone: To register by phone for GMAT, you should call the GMAT customer service in your region. There will be an additional service fee of US$10 for GMAT registration by phone. The GMAT customer Services number for India is - 0120 4397830 (Monday to Friday- 9 am to 6 pm)

 

5.2 GMAT Registration by Post: For GMAT registration by post you need to Complete the GMAT application form on the mba.com. Download the GMAT exam application form along with the fee payment information. To complete GMAT registration by post, candidates need to pay the GMAT fee by cheque or money order.

7. How to Make GMAT Exam Fee Payment 2023? Check Multiple Options
Paying for the GMAT exam fees is simple. Multiple payment options are available. Below are the acceptable payment methods

  • Pay Online/NEFT: You can make payment online through internet banking or through NEFT
  • Payment with Credit Cards and Debit Cards: GMAC accepts payments through  VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Discover Network Cards. Charges on your credit card statement will most likely appear as “VUE*GRAD MGMT TEST” for exams delivered at a test center, or "DRI*EXAMITY LLC" for exams delivered online. Please note that if your credit or debit card is declined, your test date appointment will be automatically cancelled. You will have to schedule for another test appointment with a valid payment.

8. How to Reschedule GMAT Exam Date?
You can reschedule the preferred date to take GMAT exam online or by phone in following steps:

  • Log in to the GMAT official website and click on “Reschedule your GMAT Exam”
  • If you reschedule the GMAT exam over phone, an additional service fee of US$10 will be charged
  • If the rescheduled GMAT exam date is more than 7 days ahead of the initial picked date, you need to pay US$50 as GMAT rescheduling fee.

9. How to cancel the GMAT Exam Date?

  • You can cancel the GMAT exam date online or through phone.
  • To cancel your GMAT exam date, you should log in to the main website and click on “Cancel GMAT Exam”.
  • GMAT exam 2023 cancellation fee is US$150. 
  • If you cancel the GMAT exam over the phone, an additional service fee of US$10 will be charged

10. How to Edit and Update Profile in GMAT Application Form?
If you need to update your GMAT Profile, you can log into your GMAT account at mba.com and update certain sections prior to your exam appointment. However, you will need to contact GMAC Customer Care to update any of the following information: Your first, middle, or last name; date of birth; gender; and/or citizenship.
