What is SNAP Exam?

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, popularly known as SNAP, is the mandatory MBA Entrance Exam for Admission to 17 Symbiosis Institutes including SIBM Pune, SCMHRD Pune and SIBM Bangalore. The top MBA colleges accepting SNAP 2025 scores have consistent 100% placement record with high salary. For example, in placement 2024, the average salary at SIBM Pune is Rs. 28.16 LPA, and SCMHRD Pune average salary is Rs. 23.71 LPA. SNAP exam is different from CAT exam with shorter duration (60 mins) and lesser number of questions (60 questions). Overall, SNAP exam difficulty level is comparatively lower than difficulty level of CAT exam. SNAP 2025 will be held on in three different dates in December. 

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2025

SNAP eligibility criteria are prescribed by Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU), the body that conducts the exam. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can appear for SNAP 2025. Before filling the SNAP application form, candidates should check the exam's eligibility criteria and selection process. 
The minimum eligibility criteria for SNAP exam is Graduation with minimum 50 per cent aggregate. Candidates who have secured a qualifying degree from any Foreign University must acquire an equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).  

SNAP Eligibility Criteria for Indian Candidates

  • Candidates belonging to General category must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent
  • Candidates belonging to Reserved category must have bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate or equivalent
  • The graduation degree can be completed in any education mode but the degree should be from a UGC recognised university
  • Final year graduation students who are due to appear in the exam or are wating for result are also eligible to apply for SNAP exam

SNAP Eligibility Criteria for International Students

Foreign National, Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates are also eligible to apply for SNAP 2025. The SNAP eligibility criteria for international students are mentioned below: 

  • Candidates applying under Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO category at SIU must clear an English Proficiency Test such as IELTS or IELA secure band 6 and band 4, respectively.
  • International SNAP applicants must have a proof of residence, copy of Visa and passport and in case of student visa.
  • The candidate should also have a Bonafide Certificate and Letter of Provisional Admission from the University College/Institution.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2025 for Symbiosis Institutes

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
  • A final year student, while their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.
Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD, Pune)

MBA

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
  • A final year student, while their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

MBA – Business Analytics

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) with minimum two years full time work experience after completion of graduation.
Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB)

MBA – International Business & MBA – Agri Business

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
  • A final year student, while their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

MBA – Energy & Environment

  • Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science) with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% for SC/ ST or equivalent grade). A final year student’s application will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM, Bengaluru)    

MBA

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)
  • A final year student, while their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.
