IIM Ahmedabad Director: Prof. Bharat Bhasker leads IIM Ahmedabad as its Director. An accomplished academic and administrator, he holds a Ph.D. and master’s degree in computer science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, USA, and a Bachelor of Engineering from IIT Roorkee. Before joining IIM Ahmedabad, he served as Director of IIM Raipur (2017–2022), Acting Director of IIM Lucknow (2015), and Mentor Director at IIM Sirmaur. Prof. Bhasker has also held visiting positions at renowned institutions like ESSEC Business School, Paris; Chung-Ang University, Seoul; and the University of California, USA. He has also advised the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and served as an adjunct faculty at the University of Maryland.
In addition to his academic contributions, he has extensive industry experience, having held senior roles at organizations such as Connectix Corp., SYBASE Inc., and Tata Steel. He has chaired key bodies like the Services Sector Development Council (Bureau of Indian Standards) and served as President of the Indian Subcontinent Decision Science Institute, USA.
IIM Ahmedabad Faculty: IIM Ahmedabad faculty list includes core full time faculty as well as visiting faculty. IIM Ahmedabad faculty members generate knowledge through cutting-edge research in all functional areas of management that would benefit public and private sector companies, government and society in general. The knowledge generated by IIM Ahmedabad faculty has appeared in leading academic journals with high citation index and impact factor. Many textbooks and working papers are written on a regular basis. Research carried out by IIMB is used to augment new courses and executive education programmes.
