IIM Ahmedabad PGP admission is based on CAT exam score. Following are the key facts about the process for IIM Ahmedabad Admission 2025. IIM Ahmedabad Admission Eligibility and CAT exam eligibility are same. 

IIM Ahmedabad Exam Accepted: As announced in its admission policy 2025, IIM Ahmedabad will accept CAT 2024 exam score for MBA admission 2025.

IIM Ahmedabad Application Process 2025: IIM Ahmedabad application process has opened from August 1, 2024 with the start of CAT 2024 registration process. IIM Ahmedabad admission last date will close with closing date for CAT 2024 registration on September 13, 2024. Brief details on IIM Ahmedabad Admission 2025 to MBA program are as below:

Since the Admission/Selection Process for Candidates for PGP at IIMA is through CAT, the selection of the candidates for admission to the PGP at IIMA has following two-step process.

• In the first step of IIM Ahmedabad admission process, candidates are short-listed for Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme. Detailed Admission process is as below:
• The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required percentile in CAT. Candidates are short-listed for AWT and PI from among the candidates who have a valid CAT score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme   
• After the AWT & PI round, admission offers are made by IIM Ahmedabad to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in AWT & PI, academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements, work experience among others
• IIM Ahmedabad Admission offer letter would be sent to all successful candidates. Candidates, who are offered admission, need to confirm their acceptance by completing all the required formalities by the stipulated date. 

Submit the Application with Application Fees. IIM Ahmedabad will release shortlist for final selection process. Submit Essay & Resume.

Final Selection

Candidates should first apply to the programme with a valid GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE score. In case the candidate doesn't have a valid GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE score, they can apply through the ePGD-ABA qualifying-cum-aptitude test. This test is expected to be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration and will comprise three sections:

(i) English comprehension (ii) Logical reasoning and data interpretation, (iii) Quantitative aptitude. There will be Analytical Proficiency Test for all applicants 
All applicants are required to take the Analytical Proficiency Test. The test is expected to be of 1 hour duration and will comprise the topics related to basic analytics/mathematics/statistics/data visualization of 10th/12th standards of Central Board of Secondary Education. The tests will be conducted online in a device-to-device mode.
 
Based on the exam score candidates will be shortlisted. The shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interviews. The interviews will be conducted online over the Zoom. Successful candidates will be intimated through email.

Candidates applying to the Doctoral Programme are required to take the Common Admission Test (CAT) or a standard test in lieu of CAT.  For NRIs and Foreign students this standard test is the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT). 

Different areas of high levels of specialization of IIMA have specified different standard tests that candidates applying to the Doctoral Programme in their areas of high levels of specialization can take in lieu of CAT. 
 

The admissions to IIM Ahmedabad Online MBA programme will be based on  following admission tests- IIMA Admission Test (IAT), Or CAT/ GMAT/GRE. Based on the test score candidate will be shortlisted for personal interview for final selection

IIMA Admission Test (IAT)
IAT is an online assessment test tailored for candidates who cannot apply with conventional test scores such as those from CAT, GMAT, or GRE. The IAT will be conducted at specific exam centres across India as well as the IIMA Dubai centre. A list of exam centres is available in the application portal.

The format of the IAT shall be similar to other management aptitude tests. IAT duration shall be 90 minutes and 45 questions shall be asked from the three sections: 
a) Quantitative Aptitude, b) Analytical Reasoning c) Verbal Aptitude
